What do I do if I am getting 5555 error messages when trying to register my Switchvox?

This step should fix 5555 errors when trying to register your Switchvox.


If you are getting 5555 errors when trying to register your Switchvox do the following:

  1. Go to Server > IP Configuration
  2. Add a public DNS address (such as to the DNS Field
  3. Save the IP Configuration page
  4. Once IP Configuration is saved, go to Server > Registration and try to register again, it should now work.
Some example 5555 errors:
error 5555: I am sorry but there were unknown communication errors with Digium Registration server
error 5555: the URL you have entered is invalid
